Dogs are welcome at The Bletchingley Arms
Your dog is welcome in the garden, in the bar and in part of the restaurant at The Bletchingley Arms, our village pub between Godstone and Redhill. There’s fresh water and a treat waiting, and Canine Menu chews for sale at the bar.
Come in off a footpath with muddy boots and a happy dog, or settle in for a long lunch with the family. Either way, there’s a table that works for both of you.
Where your dog can join you
Dogs are welcome in our garden, in the bar and in part of the restaurant, so you can pick the spot that suits the day. The bar is the easy choice for a drink after a walk, and the restaurant side works well when you’re eating as a group.
Every part of the garden is dog friendly, including the floors of our heated dining huts and pods, so you can eat outside across the seasons with your dog stretched out beside you.
If your dog likes things calmer, our quietest stretch of the day is between 3pm and 4pm.
Water, treats and a chew from the bar
Water bowls and treats are free, and they’re there for every dog that comes through the door. We always have a treat behind the bar, so ask if we haven’t spotted your dog first.
If you’d like to send them home with something more, Canine Menu dog chews can be bought at the bar, ready for the journey home.
The garden: huts, pods and an outdoor bar
Our garden is a sprawling one, with seating for around 200 across two levels. The top garden has its own outdoor bar. The lower garden has unreserved tables and an enclosed play area, and it sits close to the car park, which helps when you arrive with a dog, a pushchair and half the family.
For cover there are four dining huts, three dining pods and a garden stretch tent, and some of the other tables have umbrellas. The huts and pods are heated, so they work through the colder months.
In summer the Pizza Shack fires up in the garden, and with the outdoor bar right there, nobody has to head inside and leave the dog.
Walkies before your pint?
Bletchingley sits in good walking country, surrounded by footpaths and bridleways. The North Downs Way passes close to the village, and there are circular routes through the surrounding countryside taking in Godstone, Tilburstow Hill and the Greensand Way.
Ask the team on the day and we’ll point you at a good one. Muddy boots and tired dogs are both fine by us, so head back, find a table, and we’ll sort the drinks.
Food and drink while you're here
Lunch is served from midday, with pub classics, seasonal chef’s specials and burger menus that change through the year. Our BBQ ribs are a popular choice, and all our meat comes from Walton Meats, our local butcher.
On Sundays we serve roasts from midday to 5pm, with last orders at 4.45pm.
At the bar there are wines mostly available by the glass, classic cocktails and Silent Pool Gin from Surrey. Real ale is £4 a pint every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and two house cocktails are £14.95 between 5pm and 7pm, Monday to Friday.
Easy to reach, easy to park
We’re at 2 High St, Bletchingley, Redhill, Surrey RH1 4PE, in the middle of the village, with free parking on site.
The Whyte Hart bus stop is about five minutes’ walk away, served by the 400, 410, 410A and 612. By train, Nutfield is around seven minutes away by car, with Redhill and Godstone both about an eight minute drive.
Getting in is step free, there’s an accessible toilet, and there’s table service if you’d rather stay put with your dog.
