Sunday Roasts with all the trimmings
We serve Sunday Roasts every week at The Bletchingley Arms, from midday until 5pm, with last orders at 4.45pm. Roast meat from Walton Meats, crisp roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables, individual cauliflower cheese, a giant Yorkshire pudding and homemade gravy over the lot.
It fits almost any Sunday plan: two of you after a walk, a table of eight for a birthday, or the whole family taking over a corner of the garden.
What's on the plate
Every roast arrives with all the usual trimmings: crisp roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables, individual cauliflower cheese, a giant Yorkshire pudding and homemade gravy.
Our meat comes from Walton Meats, our local butcher.
There’s a Chestnut Roast for vegetarian and vegan diners, which is nut-free and served with the same trimmings. There are children’s roasts too, sized for smaller appetites.
When we serve on a Sunday
Roasts run every Sunday from midday to 5pm, with last orders at 4.45pm. The bar is open from midday until 10pm, so there’s no need to rush off once you’ve eaten.
Pub classics and vegan dishes are served alongside the roasts, so everyone at the table can order what they fancy.
Sunday with the family
Children are welcome all day, every day, and Sunday suits families well. There’s a children’s menu for under-12s, highchairs, and baby changing in the accessible bathroom.
The lower garden has an enclosed play area close to the tables, so children can stretch their legs between courses. We’ve got colouring sheets and Wikki Stix for younger ones too.
Dietary needs and allergens
We have vegetarian, vegan and NGCI (Non Gluten Containing Ingredients) choices across our menus, and on Sundays the Chestnut Roast covers vegetarian and vegan diners. Let us know when you book or when you order and we’ll talk you through them.
Full allergen information is available on request. Our food is prepared in kitchens where all allergens may be present. Due to fryers & cookers being used for more than one product, there is a small possible contamination risk even if the ingredient is not present in the dish. If you have a food allergy please let us know before ordering. Where we offer items that are NGCI (Non Gluten Containing Ingredients) we cannot guarantee that they are entirely gluten-free.
Where to sit
Inside there’s the restaurant and the bar, plus The Library, our private dining room, which seats 12 for a sit-down meal or holds 20 standing. It’s a good option for a family Sunday with a little privacy.
Outside, the garden seats around 200 and has four heated dining huts, three heated pods, a garden tent and an outdoor bar, so a roast in the garden works across the seasons.
Dogs are welcome in the garden, the bar and part of the restaurant. Mention you’re bringing your furry friend when booking so we can seat you in a suitable area.
Finding us and parking
You’ll find us at 2 High St, Bletchingley, Redhill, Surrey RH1 4PE, in the heart of the village between Godstone and Redhill. There’s free parking on site.
The Whyte Hart bus stop is about five minutes’ walk, on the 400, 410, 410A and 612 routes. By car, Nutfield station is around seven minutes away, with Redhill and Godstone both about an eight minute drive.
Access is step free, there’s an accessible toilet, and we serve at the table.
