Coco, our Grab & Go coffee trailer
Coco is our Grab & Go coffee trailer, parked just down the pathway from the main café on Horsell Common. Hot drinks, cold drinks, snacks and treats for the dog, handed over without you having to break stride.
Coco opens from 9am at weekends, on bank holidays and through the school holidays, so there’s coffee on the common whenever you fancy a longer walk.
What Coco serves
Coffee and hot drinks are the main event, made to take with you. Cold drinks sit alongside them for warmer days, and there are snacks for when the walk turns out longer than planned.
There are treats for dogs at the trailer too, so nobody misses out.
When Coco is open
Coco opens from 9am on weekends, on bank holidays and during the school holidays.
The main café is open every day from 9am to 5pm, with brunch served from 9am, lunch from midday, and the kitchen serving until 4.30pm. So whichever day you’re on the common, there’s coffee waiting up the path.
Where to find Coco
Coco sits just down the pathway from the main café building, near the wetlands, so you can pick something up on the way out or stop on your way back through.
Head for Heather Farm Café, Chobham Road, Horsell Common, Woking, Surrey GU21 4XY. Some sat-nav directions lead towards the wider common rather than the café itself, so it’s worth checking the destination before you set off.
Before or after a walk on Horsell Common
There’s a lot of Horsell Common to walk, and Coco is a good starting point if you’d rather get straight out with a coffee in hand, and just as good a finish on the way back to the car.
When the Martian Race is on across the common, Coco makes a handy stop for runners and spectators alike.
The wetlands beside the café were once a mushroom factory, before The Horsell Common Preservation Society acquired the site, which is a decent bit of local history for the walk back.
Coco and the dogs
Dogs are welcome everywhere at Heather Farm Café, inside and out, and the trailer serves dog treats.
Up at the café, water bowls and treats are free of charge, and the Dog Menu at the counter covers food bowls, Canine Menu chews and other treats. There’s a paid dog wash with hair-drying facilities on site as well, owned and managed by The Horsell Common Preservation Society, which earns its keep on muddy days.
Parking and access
The car park is large and free, run by The Horsell Common Preservation Society. Three disabled spaces sit very close to the café, with several more in the main car park.
The café itself has step-free access into the main room and the extension, wheelchair-width doorways and an accessible toilet. Free Wi-Fi runs throughout.
If you'd rather sit down
Take the path up to the main café and there’s seating inside and room for around 120 outside, including six pods that are covered and heated, plus bench tables on the grass looking over the wetlands.
Children are welcome all day, with their own breakfast and lunchtime menus, highchairs, colouring sheets, Wikki Stix, and a wooden crocodile climbing toy on the grass. Afternoon tea is served from 2pm daily for two or more to share.
We’re a walk-in café, so come as you are. Order at the counter, or scan the QR code on your table and order from your phone. Table service is available if you’d rather, and there’s a discretionary 10% service charge on main meals with table service.
