Dogs at The Horseshoe, Warlingham
Dogs are welcome in the bar and the garden at The Horseshoe. All seven of our heated pods welcome dogs too, so there’s a warm, covered spot across the seasons.

Where your dog is welcome
Your dog can join you in the bar and anywhere in the garden, from the decking at the front to the paddock at the back. You can head straight into the bar after a walk.
All of our outdoor space is dog-friendly, and that includes inside the pods. All we ask is that dogs stay under control, aisles stay clear, and paws and faces stay off the table tops.
The decking, the paddock and seven heated pods
The front garden is a decking area with tables under a large umbrella, along with three heated pods. Each has lighting and plug sockets inside, so there’s somewhere warm to sit with your dog in January as much as July.
Four more heated pods sit in the paddock at the back of the garden, next to the small car park. They’re set away from the front of the pub.
Water, treats and a chew from the bar
Fresh water and treats are free; ask the team and we’ll bring them over.
If your dog deserves more than a treat, we sell Canine Menu dog chews at the bar, so they get their own order in while you read the menu.
Walkies before your pint?
Farleigh Common is on our doorstep, with open green space and footpaths that are ideal for a short stroll. Blanchman’s Farm Nature Reserve is close by too, and makes a good change of scene.
For a longer walk, Oxted Downs, Marden Park (part of the Woodland Trust) and Farthing Downs are all a short drive away. Come back to us afterwards and the water bowl will be filled before you’ve got your coat off.
Brunch, Sunday carvery and the family table
Brunch is served from 9am, every day, so an early walk can finish with a cooked breakfast. Children are welcome all day, every day, with a children’s menu for under 12s, highchairs, and colouring sheets and wikki stix to keep the little ones occupied.
Sunday means our carvery, served from midday to 5pm with last orders at 4.45pm. There’s Roast Sirloin of Beef, Roast Turkey, Beef Brisket and Roast Loin of Pork, carved to order at our carvery unit by a dedicated chef, and you help yourself to the trimmings. Our meat comes from Walton Meats, our local meat supplier.
At the bar you’ll find Silent Pool Gin, low and no alcohol beers and wines, and Virtuous cocktails. Real ale is £4 a pint on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and Fizz Friday takes £5 off bottles of prosecco and champagne.
Parking, access and getting here
There’s free parking on site, reached down a narrow lane into our car park, with more parking around the village. The rear pods sit right beside the car park, which is handy on arrival.
The pub is step-free, with an accessible toilet, doorways wide enough for a wheelchair, and table service if you’d rather stay put. Baby changing is in the accessible bathroom.
Warlingham Green bus stop is a two minute walk away, served by the 403, 409, 411 and 658. Upper Warlingham station is about a 29 minute walk, or five minutes by car.

Once you’re here there’s free Wi-Fi, and QR codes on the tables so you can order from your seat and stay right where your dog has settled.
We’re open 9am to 11pm Monday to Saturday and 9am to 10pm on Sunday. The quiz is every Tuesday night and live music comes round once a month, so there’s always something on if you fancy staying a while.
