The Inn at West End is a pub with bedrooms — 12 individually styled bedrooms behind the pub, a courtyard garden, a seasonal menu that changes with what’s good, and a welcome that feels personal because it is.
Breakfast is included with every stay. Two bedrooms are dog-friendly, so your four-legged companion can join you. And our position near the M3, Junction 3 makes us a natural stop for business travellers, dog owners passing through Surrey, weekend visitors, and wedding guests looking for somewhere with character.
Windsor Castle, Ascot Racecourse, Mizens Railway, Legoland & Thorpe Park plus Woking’s Victoria Theatre are all nearby attractions located within half an hour of The Inn.
Dog-friendly bedrooms
Two of our 12 bedrooms welcome dogs. If you’re travelling through Surrey with your dog, or making a weekend of it with walks in the surrounding countryside, these bedrooms mean your companion doesn’t have to miss out.
The enclosed courtyard garden is right outside for morning and evening walks. Dogs are also welcome in the bar area of the pub, so they can sit with you while you eat or have a drink.
Let us know when you book that you’re bringing a dog and we’ll reserve one of the two dog-friendly bedrooms. They book up quickly, especially at weekends and during the summer.
The bedrooms
Each of our 12 bedrooms has been individually styled — no two are the same. You’ll find comfortable beds with quality linens, en-suite bathrooms with a hairdryer and toiletries, a Smart TV, free Wi-Fi, and tea and coffee-making facilities as standard. There’s also a gun safe available for guests visiting the local shooting range. The bedrooms are designed to feel like a retreat: calm, quiet, and thoughtfully finished. One bedroom, Twelve Oaks, is our accessible bedroom and can be set up with twin beds, so do let us know when you book if that would suit you better.
They have everything you need for a restful night. The beds are great, the showers are hot, and the village is quiet, with a pub waiting for you in the morning.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all served in the pub, and our gorgeous courtyard garden is just a stone’s throw from your bedroom door.
Breakfast — included with every stay
Breakfast is served from 7am on weekdays and 8am at weekends, and is included with every booking. Our kitchen puts out a generous spread: a Full English with fried eggs as standard, bacon, sausages, beans, toast, and all the trimmings. If you’d prefer something lighter — pastries, fruit, yoghurt, toast — that’s available too.
It’s served in the pub, and it’s a good way to start the day. Whether you’re heading out for a walk, driving to a meeting, or just taking your time before exploring the area, you’ll leave well fed.
Dietary requirements are no problem — veggie, vegan, and NGCI options are all available as standard.
Who stays with us
Our guests come for different reasons, but they tend to fall into a few groups.
Business travellers value the M3 access, the quiet setting, and the fact that they can have a good dinner downstairs without getting in a car. We’re a more human alternative to the business hotels on the motorway corridor.
Dog owners love the dog-friendly rooms, the courtyard garden, and the walking country all around us. West End, Bisley, and Lightwater have heathland and woodland trails that suit all abilities.
Weekend visitors use us as a base for exploring Surrey. Ascot Races, PGA golf in season, and Legoland are all nearby. And wedding guests at nearby venues — including our sister-site, Meade Hall at The Crown & Cushion love the convenience of having 12 fabulous bedrooms, just 10 minutes from the venue!
The pub, the garden, and the food
Staying with us means you have the pub on your doorstep. Our kitchen works with seasonal ingredients, and the menus change throughout the year. In the evening, the restaurant serves thoughtful, well-executed food — the kind that makes you glad you didn’t go looking for somewhere else to eat.
The courtyard garden is an enclosed space with a covered patio, ideal for a drink before dinner or a coffee after breakfast. It’s particularly lovely in the warmer months, with hanging baskets and colour all around.
On Sundays, we serve roasts from noon to 5pm. If you’re staying Saturday night, a Sunday roast before heading home is a very good way to round off the weekend.
