Walks near The Shinfield Arms
Shinfield is well placed for countryside walks. Wellington Country Park and Dinton Pastures are both a short drive away, offering a range of routes through woodland, around lakes, and across open countryside.
Dogs are welcome in our garden and bar when you get back.
Wellington Country Park
A 350-acre country park with waymarked trails through woodland and around the lake. There are routes for all abilities, and it’s a popular destination for families and dog walkers alike.
Dinton Pastures
A country park built around several lakes and the River Loddon. The flat terrain makes for easy walking, and there’s plenty of wildlife to spot — especially in the wetter months.
After your walk
Come to us for a drink and something to eat. Muddy boots and well-behaved dogs welcome. The all-weather garden means there’s always a comfortable spot.
